George Sparks (1804-74) was a much regarded 19th century decorator operating from Royal Porcelain House, Broad Street, Worcester.
Depicted to one side Witley Court and to the other a floral spray. Ornate gilding to the whole with solid gold band to the rim and base
To the underside of the mug in red script "Witley Court the residence of Her Majesty Queen Adelaide" and "Sparks Worcester"
Queen Adelaide, the widow of King William IV, occupied Witley Court from 1843 to 1846.
