Fabulous quality piece in the manner of Robert Adam.
The top is expertly veneered with satinwood and kingwood crossbanding with satinwood and ebony stringing. Fine inlaid fruitwood swags with a central hand painted classical motif.
The neoclassical designs and rich inlay extend down both the concave sides and the front.
To the top front of the press is a fitted frieze drawer with compartments for gentleman's cufflinks, toiletries etc. within. Lovely quality fire gilded handles with classical portrait heads.
The bow fronted door open to reveal six slide drawers.
The cabinet stands on four shaped tapered feet.
Original lock and key.
